Summary:

Mizuho Global Services (MGS) is seeking a senior, hands-on Threat Intelligence Lead to build and mature strategic, operational, and tactical threat intelligence capabilities supporting Mizuho's global cybersecurity operations. This role is responsible for identifying emerging threats, assessing adversary activity, and transforming intelligence into actionable insights that improve threat detection, incident response, vulnerability prioritization, and executive decision-making.

As a leader within the Cyber Fusion Center, you will partner closely with Threat Hunting, DFIR, Detection Engineering, Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, and Security Engineering teams to strengthen cyber resilience and drive intelligence-led security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the enterprise threat intelligence program, including strategy, governance, intelligence requirements, collection priorities, operating standards, and capability roadmaps.
- Conduct advanced analysis of threat actors, campaigns, malware, vulnerabilities, adversary infrastructure, and attacker TTPs to identify threats relevant to the organization and financial services sector.
- Produce strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products that support executive decision-making, cyber defense operations, incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
- Operationalize intelligence by translating findings into detection content, hunting hypotheses, monitoring priorities, security improvements, and automated response capabilities.
- Support active investigations and incidents by providing threat context, adversary insights, campaign analysis, attribution intelligence,



and impact assessments.
- Establish and maintain trusted intelligence-sharing relationships with industry peers, information-sharing communities, government agencies, regulators, and law-enforcement partners.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, executive briefings, and strategic guidance while identifying intelligence gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve cyber defense maturity.

Required Qualifications:

- 12-15 years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Operations, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, DFIR, Detection Engineering, or related cyber defense disciplines, including senior leadership experience.
- Proven experience building, leading, or maturing enterprise threat intelligence programs, operating models, and intelligence-driven cyber defense capabilities.
- Deep expertise in threat actor analysis, campaign tracking, malware and adversary infrastructure analysis, vulnerability intelligence, cybercrime monitoring, intelligence lifecycle management, and intelligence dissemination.
- Experience delivering executive and Board-level threat assessments, strategic risk briefings, and actionable intelligence products.
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK;, adversary tradecraft, threat modeling, intelligence operations, and intelligence-led security operations.
- Experience developing trusted intelligence-sharing relationships with industry peers, regulators, government agencies, law enforcement, and information-sharing communities.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, stakeholder management, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, or equivalent experience.
- Security Technologies: Splunk Enterprise Security, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, CrowdStrike Falcon,



Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Microsoft Defender XDR, STIX/TAXII, threat intelligence platforms, malware analysis tools, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, MITRE ATT&CK;, Python, PowerShell, KQL, REST APIs, JSON, cloud security, endpoint security, and intelligence automation technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certifications such as GCTI, CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, SC-200, Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin, or equivalent.
- Experience tracking nation-state, cybercrime, financially motivated, insider, supply-chain, and emerging threats targeting financial institutions.
- Experience integrating threat intelligence with threat hunting, DFIR, detection engineering, security monitoring, vulnerability management, automation, and ITSM processes.
- Experience within global financial institutions or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, FFIEC, intelligence handling standards, and cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
