- Perform MRI examinations as per the requisition and instructions of the Radiologist.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, MRI requisition, and examination protocol before scanning.
- Explain the MRI procedure to patients and obtain necessary consent as per hospital policy.
- Screen patients thoroughly for MRI contraindications, including implants, metallic objects, and other safety risks.
- Ensure appropriate patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization for accurate imaging.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital protocols.
- Select appropriate MRI sequences and parameter
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images and repeat scans when technically required.
- Administer contrast media only as authorized and as per hospital protocol, while monitoring the patient for adverse reactions.
- Maintain proper communication with the Radiologist regarding any technical or patient-related concerns.
- Follow all MRI safety protocols, including controlled access to the MRI room and screening of patients, attendants, and staff.




- Ensure proper handling and care of MRI-compatible equipment and accessories.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards in the MRI area.
- Monitor equipment performance and immediately report any malfunction or abnormality to the concerned department/Biomedical Engineering.
- Maintain daily MRI registers, patient records, scan details, contrast records, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with reception, nursing, radiology, and other departments for smooth patient workflow.
- Handle emergency situations appropriately and assist in providing immediate care as per hospital protocol.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, training programs, and departmental meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned by the HOD/Radiologist or hospital management.
