Supply Chain Trainer

About The Procurement School The Procurement School helps procurement and supply chain professionals build practical skills they can apply immediately in the workplace. Our learning experience is designed around expert instruction, real-world scenarios, interactive discussion, and skilled growth.

We are expanding our instructor network and are seeking an experienced Part-Time Supply Chain Trainer to deliver live online preparation for the ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification OR CIPS.

About the role

As a Supply Chain Trainer, you will guide working professionals through the concepts,

frameworks, and applied decision-making skills covered by the current Exams of CPIM, CLTD, CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, PMP.

Content Manual

You will make complex supply chain topics clear, practical, and relevant to learners working across procurement, planning, operations, logistics, inventory, sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain leadership.

This is a learner-centered teaching role. The successful candidate will combine strong Supply Chain subject knowledge with the ability to facilitate discussion, explain difficult concepts, use realistic examples, and help learners prepare confidently for the certification examination.

Key responsibilities

Instruction and facilitation

- Deliver engaging, live online Certifications preparation sessions through a virtual learning environment.
- Teach and explain the current Certifications curriculum, including end-to-end supply chain concepts, planning and execution, sourcing and procurement, inventory, logistics, risk, sustainability, technology, metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Translate technical and theoretical concepts into clear workplace examples and practical decision-making scenarios.
- Facilitate discussion, questions, group activities, case studies, knowledge checks, and exam-style practice.
- Adapt explanations and teaching methods to learners with different levels of supply chain experience.
- Maintain an inclusive, respectful, and highly participative online classroom. Learner support and outcomes.
- Help learners connect certifications content to their professional responsibilities and career goals.
- Provide constructive feedback on exercises, case discussions, and learning activities.
- Identify common knowledge gaps and provide additional explanation or resources.
- Encourage structured study habits, critical thinking, and application of concepts rather than memorisation alone.
- Support learners in building confidence with scenario-based questions and end-to end supply chain decision-making.
- Gather learner feedback and use it to improve future sessions.

Course quality and collaboration

- Prepare for each session using approved course materials, facilitator guides, presentations, and learning activities.




- Collaborate with The Procurement School’s academic and program teams to improve lesson plans, examples, exercises, and learner resources.
- Keep course content aligned with the current ASCM CSCP Exam Content Manual and communicate material changes that may affect learner preparation.
- Contribute practical examples, case studies, discussion questions, and teaching recommendations.
- Follow agreed standards for session preparation, attendance, learner communication, feedback, and professional conduct.
- Protect the confidentiality of learner information, internal materials, and assessment content.

Required qualifications and experience

- Active ASCM CSCP or CIPS certification is required.
- Demonstrated professional experience in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, planning, operations, inventory, logistics, supplier management, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience delivering professional training, certification preparation, workshops, webinars, university instruction, or corporate learning programs.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts and the ability to connect them across functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Confident live-online facilitation skills, including the use of video conferencing, screen sharing, polls, breakout rooms, chat, and digital learning tools.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a structured, practical, and approachable way.
- Reliable availability for scheduled part-time live sessions and reasonable preparation time.
- Professional, ethical, organized, and learner-focused approach. Preferred qualifications
- ASCM-authorized instructor status or comparable ASCM teaching authorization.
- Experience preparing candidates specifically for the CSCP examination.
- Additional professional credentials such as CPIM, CLTD, CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, PMP, or an equivalent supply chain or procurement designation.
- Experience teaching working professionals in a virtual, hybrid, or blended environment.
- Experience developing facilitator guides, case studies, exercises, assessments, or professional learning content.
- Experience in multiple industries, global supply chains, project environments,

manufacturing, services, technology, or public-sector supply chains.
- Graduate education in supply chain management, procurement, operations,

business, logistics, or a related discipline.
- Active participation in supply chain, procurement, or professional education communities.

Within the first cohorts, a successful trainer will:

- Deliver well-structured, engaging, and reliable live online sessions.
- Help learners understand how CSCP concepts connect across the entire supply chain.
- Use realistic examples that make abstract concepts easier to remember and apply.
- Create an environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and testing their thinking.
- Provide clear and useful feedback.
- Maintain solid learner satisfaction and engagement.
- Support learner readiness through practice, application, and structured exam preparation.
- Collaborate effectively with The Procurement School team to improve the learning experience.
- Keep teaching aligned with current ASCM requirements and approved course materials.
