Crypto - Thales Key Management & Entrust HSM Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Thales Key Management & Entrust HSM Specialist with a strong background in cryptography, encryption technologies, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs). The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing enterprise cryptographic environments, ensuring secure key management practices, and supporting security operations aligned with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support Thales Key Management Solutions (CipherTrust/Vormetric).
- Administer and maintain Entrust Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Perform cryptographic key lifecycle management including key generation, distribution, rotation, backup, recovery, and retirement.
- Support payment, enterprise, and cloud-based encryption environments.
- Ensure compliance with cryptographic security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Coordinate incident, problem, change, and release management activities related to cryptographic infrastructure.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, and operations teams globally.
- Provide support during critical production deployments and security-related changes.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Thales Key Management Solutions (CipherTrust/Vormetric).




- Extensive experience with Entrust HSMs.
- Solid understanding of Cryptography, Encryption Technologies, PKI, and Key Management.
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules used for payment processing, enterprise encryption, and cloud security.
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Security Technologies, and Cybersecurity Controls.
- Experience in Service Management processes including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Cybersecurity, or Data Protection environments.
- Exposure to Cloud Security and Hardware-Based Encryption Technologies.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS and security compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience in System Administration, IT Operations, or Software Development.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PCI-QSA, or ITIL.
