Credit Card Reconciliation Analyst / Reconciliation Specialist

Job Purpose The role is responsible for performing end-to-end reconciliation of credit card transactions across various systems, including card management platforms, payment networks, banks, merchants, and internal financial systems. The candidate will identify transaction breaks, investigate discrepancies, ensure timely resolution, and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Experience with card processing platforms such as FIS

- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of credit card transactions.
- Reconcile transactions between card processing systems, settlement files, payment networks, merchant/acquirer systems, and internal financial systems.
- Identify and investigate reconciliation breaks, unmatched transactions, duplicate entries, missing transactions, and settlement discrepancies.




- Perform transaction-level analysis for authorization, clearing, settlement, reversals, chargebacks, refunds, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with internal operations, technology, finance, dispute management, and external stakeholders for resolution of exceptions.
- Ensure timely closure of outstanding reconciliation breaks as per defined TAT and SLA.
- Prepare reconciliation reports, exception reports, ageing reports, and MIS.
- Monitor financial exposure and ensure accurate accounting and settlement of card transactions.
- Support month-end reconciliation and financial closing activities.
- Identify process gaps and contribute towards automation and process improvement.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for reconciliation activities.
