About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our Strategic Partnerships team at Birla Pivot. This role offers a unique opportunity for fresh Chartered Accountants (CAs) who are either in their final attempt or recent pass-outs to kickstart their careers in credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of buyers, analyzing financial statements, conducting risk assessments, and supporting the company's growth by ensuring a healthy credit portfolio. Reporting directly to the Underwriting Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to make informed credit decisions, monitor ongoing credit risk, and maintain accurate documentation to facilitate seamless credit operations.
This position provides a platform to develop core skills in credit analysis within a fast-paced, innovative environment, contributing significantly to the company's strategic objectives.
Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Chartered Accountant qualification, with either a recent or current attempt cycle completion. Candidates should have 2-3 years of articleship experience in credit analysis, banking, or financial services, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and risk assessment methodologies.
Proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and trend evaluation is essential. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills are required to succeed in this role. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team are also critical, as this role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate credit assessments and portfolio monitoring.
Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Credit Analyst include assessing the creditworthiness of potential buyers by analyzing their financial statements, conducting cash flow, ratio, and trend analyses to evaluate their financial health, and identifying red flags that could indicate potential risks. You will own the accuracy and completeness of credit documentation, ensuring due diligence checks are meticulously performed.
Communicating credit decisions clearly to stakeholders and supporting the development of credit policies and procedures will be key functions.
Additionally, you will monitor the existing credit portfolio for early warning signs of default or distress, support ongoing credit reviews, and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
Your role will also involve collaborating with sales, finance, and risk teams to facilitate smooth credit operations and enhance overall portfolio quality.
