Role Description The Credentialing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This team member is responsible for managing provider credentialing and enrollment with hospitals, insurance companies, and government payers, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Daily tasks include collecting and verifying provider documents, completing and submitting applications, tracking application status, and following up to resolve issues or delays. The role also involves maintaining accurate credentialing records, updating databases, monitoring renewal dates,



and coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely approvals.

The Credentialing

Specialist collaborates with the billing and RCM teams to support clean claims, minimize denials related to credentialing, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of credentialing, provider enrollment, and healthcare payer requirements.
- Experience with medical billing, revenue cycle management processes, and basic claims workflows.
- Proficiency in data entry, documentation management, and use of credentialing or practice management software.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify and resolve credentialing-related issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with providers, payers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work accurately under time constraints.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and security practices related to handling sensitive information.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a credentialing or medical billing role within a healthcare or RCM environment is an advantage.
