Role Description The Creative Writing Mentor (Advanced Level) is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding advanced learners in developing sophisticated creative writing skills. Day-to-day activities include conducting one-on-one and small group online sessions, mentoring students through complex writing projects, and providing structured feedback on style, voice, narrative structure, and character development.

The mentor will support learners with book-length projects, help them refine drafts, and offer strategies for revision and self-editing. Additional responsibilities include designing session plans, creating learning materials,



assessing progress, and collaborating with the EdifyChamps team to enhance the overall learning experience.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Writing and Creative Writing, with the ability to guide advanced-level learners.
- Strong Book Coaching and Coaching skills, including mentoring on long-form projects and individualized learning plans.
- Solid Research skills to support students with worldbuilding, factual accuracy, and thematic development.
- Excellent communication and feedback skills, with a explicit, constructive, and encouraging mentoring style.
- Prior experience teaching or mentoring writers, preferably in an online or remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Literature, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or publication history are a plus.
- Ability to manage a full-time remote workload, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and online learning platforms.
