Role Description The Creative Storytelling Editor is a full-time role responsible for shaping narrative-driven journal content, ensuring that stories are coherent, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s voice. Based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, the role combines in-office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and editing story drafts, developing story arcs and character outlines for journal series, and coordinating with writers and designers to integrate content with visual elements. The editor will refine language, structure, and tone, provide constructive feedback to contributors, and maintain editorial standards and style guidelines.



Additional responsibilities include brainstorming new journal themes, supporting content planning schedules, and ensuring that all storytelling materials are delivered on time and ready for production.

Qualifications

- Strong storytelling, narrative development, and editing skills, with the ability to shape transparent, compelling content for journals and related formats.
- Proficiency in copyediting and proofreading, with attention to grammar, consistency, and style.
- Experience collaborating with writers, designers, and other creative professionals in a publishing or content-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Chennai, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and document management; experience with journal, book, or magazine publishing is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in creative journaling, fiction, or non-fiction storytelling, and openness to inclusive and diverse narratives.
