Role Description The Counsellor, Study Abroad role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The counsellor will guide prospective students through the entire study abroad journey, including understanding their academic background, career goals, and country or program preferences. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, explaining admission requirements, assisting with course and university selection, and supporting students in completing applications and documentation.

The role involves regular communication with students and families via in-person meetings, phone, email, and online channels, as well as coordination with international institutions and internal teams.



The counsellor will also participate in student outreach activities, maintain accurate records in the system, and stay updated on global education trends, visa processes, and scholarship opportunities.

Qualifications

- 2-3 years of experience in related field.
- Strong student counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess student profiles and recommend suitable countries, courses, and institutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to explain complex processes simply.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, such as managing multiple applications, maintaining accurate records, and meeting timelines.
- Customer service orientation and relationship-building skills to support students and families throughout the study abroad process.
- Comfort with online platforms, search tools, and basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, document preparation).
- Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and student visa procedures for key destinations is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in study abroad counselling, education consulting, or student services is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counselling, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, collaborate with a team, and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven environment.
