Job Summary : We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Costing Engineer / Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor with 1.5–2 years of relevant experience. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-off, estimation, costing, preparation of BOQs, rate analysis, and supporting project teams in commercial and cost-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material quantity calculations from drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and detailed cost estimates for projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements.
- Prepare rate analysis for materials, labour, equipment, and other project activities.
- Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Support the preparation of project quotations and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with Design, Project, Procurement,



and Site teams to clarify technical and quantity-related requirements.
- Track material quantities, project costs, and variations against the estimated quantities.
- Assist in preparing variation statements, cost comparisons, and revised estimates.
- Verify subcontractor/vendor measurements and bills against actual work completed.
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates, BOQs, quotations, and cost-related records.
- Assist in monitoring project profitability and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in tender evaluation and commercial discussions when required.
- Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and within the required timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- 1.5–2 years of experience in estimation, costing, quantity surveying, or commercial functions.
- Good understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, estimation, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and understand engineering/construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and other estimation-related tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Valuable numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Primary qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering – Preferred

Diploma in Civil Engineering – Can be considered, especially with strong relevant experience.

Other acceptable qualifications:

B.E./B.Tech in Structural Engineering

B.E./B.Tech in Construction Engineering / Construction Technology

B.Sc. / equivalent in Construction-related disciplines, if supported by strong relevant experience.
