Role Description The Cost and Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for retail fixture projects, including material, labor, and installation costs, based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

The engineer will develop and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), analyze project scope, and collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing and feasibility. Daily responsibilities include conducting cost comparisons, updating cost databases,



performing market research on materials and vendors, and supporting negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors. The individual will also assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals, monitor cost variances during project execution, and provide recommendations to optimize cost and maintain profitability.

Qualifications

- Strong project estimation skills, including Project Estimation and BOQ preparation, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Educational background in Civil Engineering or related field, with practical understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Research and analytical skills to gather market data, benchmark costs, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Negotiation and vendor management skills to coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders for cost-effective solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with CAD drawings is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Relevant experience in cost estimation for retail fixtures, interiors, construction, or allied industries is preferred.
