Control Room Panel Engineer – Refinery Operations (Myanmar)

The Company Our client is an established organization within the energy and petroleum downstream sector , operating refinery facilities in Myanmar. The business is focused on safe, reliable and efficient refinery operations, with strong emphasis on product quality, process safety, operational excellence and the development of local technical capability.

The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager / Shift Superintendent , the Control Room Panel Engineer will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of refinery process units through DCS, ESD and SIS systems

. The role will monitor and control the Atmospheric Distillation Unit (ADU/CDU), Jet-A1 Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Production Unit , managing key process parameters, product quality, alarms, trips, interlocks and operating conditions.

The position will also support startup, shutdown,



commissioning and performance testing, respond to process upsets and emergency situations, coordinate closely with field operators, and contribute to the training and development of local operations personnel.

The Person

Candidates should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Process, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline , with at least 10 years of refinery operations experience and 8+ years of direct CCR / Panel operating experience

. Proven hands-on operating experience with ADU/CDU, Jet-A1/Kerosene Hydrotreater and Hydrogen Production Units is mandatory , together with strong knowledge of DCS, ESD, SIS, alarms, trips and permissive systems.

Candidates should also demonstrate practical experience in refinery startup, shutdown, emergency handling, process troubleshooting and commissioning, with the ability to coach and transfer operational knowledge to local teams.
