We are looking for an experienced ESRI GIS Developer with strong hands-on experience in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Python/ArcPy, geodatabase schema management, map service automation, and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will be responsible for automating GIS deployment workflows across Development, Test, and Production environments, including map service publishing, geodatabase schema comparison, schema change deployment, and configuration-driven GIS automation.

The role requires a robust understanding of ESRI platform components, enterprise geodatabases, version control practices, and DevOps automation for GIS applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

- GitHub and GitHub Actions Automation
- Design and implement GitHub-based CI/CD workflows for GIS automation.
- Create GitHub Actions pipelines for deploying GIS artifacts across Dev, Test, and Prod environments.
- Manage source control for:
- Python automation scripts
- ArcGIS Pro project files
- Map service publishing configuration
- Geodatabase schema scripts
- Environment-specific deployment parameters
- Implement branching strategies such as:
- Feature branches
- Development branch
- Release branch
- Production/main branch
- Configure GitHub Actions runners for executing ArcPy and GIS automation scripts.
- Python and ArcPy Automation
- Develop Python and ArcPy scripts for automating GIS administrative and publishing tasks.




- Automate ArcGIS Pro .aprx processing and map service publishing workflows.
- Build reusable Python scripts for:
- Map service publishing
- Service overwrite
- Portal item update
- Layer configuration validation
- Geodatabase schema comparison
- Domain and subtype updates
- Feature class validation
- Data source updates
- Implement logging, exception handling, parameterization, and deployment reports for all automation scripts.
- Map Service Automation
- Automate the publishing and updating of map services from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Manage service definition workflows using .aprx, .sd, and publishing scripts.
- Validate map documents before publishing, including:
- Broken data sources
- Layer visibility
- Symbology consistency
- Scale range
- Service naming conventions
- Portal folder and sharing settings
- Support service deployment across multiple environments:
- Development Portal
- Test Portal
- Production Portal
- Automate service overwrite and rollback processes where required
- Geodatabase Schema Automation
- Support enterprise geodatabase schema change management using Git-based workflows.
- Develop scripts to compare schema differences between:
- Dev and Test
- Test and Prod
- Source schema and target schema
- Automate or support controlled deployment of schema changes such as:
- New feature classes
- New fields
- Field property changes
- Domains
- Subtypes
- Relationship classes
- Indexes
- Attribute rules, where applicable
- Maintain schema change scripts in GitHub for auditability and traceability.
- Prepare schema deployment packages and validation reports before promotion to higher environments
