Political Content Writer & Researcher

Job Summary

We are looking for a politically aware and research-oriented Political Content Writer & Researcher who can understand political developments, constituency-level issues, government schemes and public sentiment, and convert research into sharp, fact-based and engaging political content.

The ideal candidate should have strong Marathi writing skills, a good understanding of Maharashtra politics and the ability to work in a fast-paced political campaign environment.

Key Responsibilities

Political Research

Conduct research on political leaders, constituencies, parties, elections and local political developments.

Track daily political news, government decisions, schemes, announcements and opposition narratives.

Research constituency-level issues, local leaders, voter concerns and political developments.

Analyse past election results, voting patterns and available public data.

Prepare political briefs, background notes, issue documents and talking points.

Fact-check political claims, statistics and government-related information before publication.

Content Writing

Write content for social media posts, reels, videos, speeches, press notes and campaign communication.

Develop political narratives, campaign themes, issue-based communication and storytelling.

Convert complex research and data into simple, impactful Marathi content.

Prepare captions, scripts, talking points, FAQs and response content.

Create content supporting the leader's image, achievements, vision and grassroots connect.

Develop content around government schemes, development work and public welfare initiatives.

Political & Social Media Monitoring

Monitor political opponents, key leaders, media houses and relevant social media trends.

Identify emerging political narratives, controversies and opportunities for communication.





Prepare daily/weekly political and social media monitoring reports.

Track opposition statements and prepare fact-based response points when required.

Required Skills

Excellent Marathi writing and communication skills.

Good command of English and ability to understand English political/media content.

Strong understanding of Maharashtra's political landscape.

Excellent research, fact-checking and analytical skills.

Ability to identify the political angle in news, events and local issues.

Strong storytelling and content development skills.

Ability to write both short-form and long-form political content.

Positive understanding of social media platforms and political communication.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing campaign requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Policy, Social Sciences or a related field.

Previous experience with a political consultancy, political campaign, media organisation, public affairs firm or political leader's office will be preferred.

Experience in Maharashtra political research or constituency-level research will be an added advantage.
