- Pre-anaesthesia assessment of patients before surgery/procedure.

- Review patient history, physical examination, investigations and anaesthesia-related risks.

- Develop and document an appropriate anaesthesia plan.

- Obtain/document informed consent for anaesthesia as per hospital policy.

- Ensure availability and functioning of required anaesthesia drugs, equipment and monitoring devices.

- Administer general, regional, local or monitored anaesthesia as clinically appropriate.

- Continuously monitor the patient’s vital parameters during anaesthesia.

- Maintain patient safety throughout induction, maintenance and recovery.

- Manage difficult airway, haemodynamic instability and other anaesthesia-related emergencies.

- Provide appropriate pain management during and after procedures.

- Supervise and ensure safe transfer of the patient to the recovery/PACU area when applicable.

- Conduct post-anaesthesia assessment and document recovery status.

- Participate in resuscitation and emergency response, including CPR/code response as assigned.

- Ensure complete and accurate anaesthesia records, including drugs, fluids,



monitoring and events.

- Follow hospital policies related to medication safety, infection prevention and control, patient identification and surgical safety.

- Participate in the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist / Safe Surgery practices as applicable.

- Ensure proper handling and accountability of controlled/high-alert anaesthetic medications according to hospital policy.

- Report and document anaesthesia-related adverse events, complications and near misses.

- Participate in morbidity/mortality reviews, clinical audits and quality-improvement activities.

- Maintain professional competence through CME, training and skill development.

- Guide and supervise anaesthesia technicians/other assigned staff within their scope of work.

- Maintain confidentiality and qualified conduct.

- Perform any other clinical responsibility assigned by the Medical Superintendent/Head of Department within professional scope.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
