Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Science Teacher role based in Morena.

The Computer Science

Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in computer science, introducing learners to foundational concepts such as programming, algorithms, and digital literacy. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, maintaining classroom discipline, and providing feedback to learners and guardians. The teacher will design or refine curriculum materials, integrate relevant mathematics concepts when appropriate, and use practical exercises to strengthen students’ problem-solving skills.

Additional responsibilities may include participating in staff meetings, school events, examination duties, and contributing to academic and co-curricular initiatives.





Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Computer Science concepts and applications; ability to explain core topics clearly and accessibly.
- Experience or training in Computer Science Education, including effective teaching methods for school-level learners.
- Ability to perform effective Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, aligning teaching materials with academic standards.
- Comfort with relevant Mathematics topics that support computer science learning, such as logic, basic algebra, and problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a closely related field.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, colleagues, and guardians.
- Basic familiarity with educational technology tools, computer labs, and standard productivity software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff and contribute to school-wide academic initiatives.
- Prior teaching experience at the school or higher-secondary level is preferred but not strictly required for highly motivated candidates.
