About Parinaam Foundation:
Parinaam Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide a holistic approach to alleviate poverty. We were conceived in 2006, with the vision to create sustainable change that will have an impact on the poor and lead them to live a better life. Parinaam caters to the needs of the poor, by providing them critical social services. We provide services in the areas of healthcare, education, livelihood, and community development.
Today Parinaam operates across 20 States. At Parinaam, our focus is on making real change on the ground.
Parinaam aims to break India’s vicious cycle of generational poverty through holistic interventions focused on social development and financial independence for the underprivileged. Through innovation and on ground interventions we have touched the lives of over a million unserved and underserved families across India.

1. Program Details
The Urban Ultra Poor Program (UUPP) reaches out to the most destitute families in urban slum communities and is aimed at tackling urban poverty through holistic interventions in five areas: livelihood development, healthcare, education, and financial and social services.
Our ultimate goal is to tackle generational and familial poverty rather than provide isolated individual female support and help these families become independent and self-reliant. After a 12-month period, families have a stable level of income, are able to send their children to school regularly, know where to receive quality and affordable medical care, have proof of identity and address to prove their existence,
access government benefits and save regularly in a bank account.
The program has covered 5500 families in 75 communities in Bangalore till date.
1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Execution:
- Identification of Members and Organizing Support groups.
- Conduct weekly meetings with all members
- Provide counselling support to women beneficiaries on any issues during household visits
- Maintain good relationships with members and local people to improve the program.
- Bring any issues on field to the notice of supervisor
- Vendor management
- Identify sustainable livelihood opportunities like garments, housekeeping, house maid, garden work etc in the vicinity and accompany the beneficiaries for an interview.
- Conduct Livelihood counseling and help if required
- Assist in healthcare camps and counseling
- Set up tuition centers in the community
- Explain the perks of education and guide towards enrolment of their children in school
- Ensuring that all beneficiaries get their KYC cards
- Ensuring that all beneficiaries get access to bank accounts
- Discuss field related issues with FC
- Liaisons between landlords of community, field staff and management
- Liaisons field related issues with management
1. ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Desired Qualification 12th pass/Graduation/MSW
Desired Experience
- Minimum 1 to 2year’s experience in NGO or Fresh MSW candidates
- Familiar with working in slums and organizing women’s groups.
