Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced candidate to contribute to the design, development and implementation of communication systems for UAVs. The role involves optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability, with a strong focus on real-time data transmission and minimizing latency. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both hardware and software, integrating communication protocols with algorithmic frameworks while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration across teams will be essential to drive innovative system improvements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design and development of UAV communication systems
- Implementation of communication protocols and performance tuning for UAVs
- Select and evaluate components, ensuring they meet performance, reliability,



and scalability requirements
- Utilize simulation tools for testing and validating system behaviour under real-world conditions
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the capabilities of UAV systems
- Document design processes and test results, and provide technical reports
- Any other work assigned as required

Qualifications and Key Skills Required:

- PhD with relevant experience, OR
- M.Tech. / M.E. or equivalent degree with relevant experience, OR
- B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of wired and wireless communication protocols
- Familiarity with UAV communication protocols such as MAVLink
- Strong knowledge of cellular communication system architecture and standards.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and operating systems
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and development boards
- Robust programming skills in C, C++, and Python
- Knowledge of data structures
- Knowledge of cloud-based communication
- Familiarity with autopilot systems, such as PX4 and ArduPilot
- Knowledge of drones and aerial robotics
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
