Job Overview:

The Clinical Programmer Intern will participate in learning and developing an understanding of Clinical programming solutions, including the creation and maintenance of clinical databases and providing Clinical programming support to clinical study teams under the supervision and guidance of senior team members. The intern will perform assigned activities in accordance with Atorus and/or sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and applicable sponsor requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

- Proactively learn and develop an understanding of processes related to the setup, maintenance, and support of clinical and/or safety databases.
- Complete assigned programming and configuration activities in accordance with established project timelines.
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of clinical study databases in accordance with the study protocol, amendments, SOPs, GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in reviewing database specifications and Data Validation Specifications (DVS) and support programming and configuration activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Communicate project status, potential risks, issues,



and concerns to management or senior team members in a timely manner to support appropriate resolution.
- Participate in internal and external study team meetings, as required.
- Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain required project documentation and support quality and compliance activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT, database programming, or a related area.
- Positive knowledge of .NET framework, C# and SQL programming.
- Knowledge of R, Python, or SAS is an added advantage.
- Ability to proactively identify complex problems, assess requirements, and develop effective solutions or recommendations.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
