We are now looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us at a pivotal stage of our growth.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a builder, architect and technology leader who wants to take genuine ownership of Niermaan’s technology.

This is not a traditional corporate CTO role.

You will initially be highly hands-on while simultaneously building the engineering organisation, architecture and technology strategy required to scale Niermaan internationally.

You will work directly with the Founder & CEO and become the company’s technical authority and technology visionary.

What You’ll Build

Niermaan already has a live technology platform. Your job will be to take it from an early-stage product into a secure, scalable, intelligent technology platform capable of supporting international growth.

You will lead the evolution of:

? AI Platform

- AI assistants
- LLM integrations
- AI agents
- Personalisation
- Recommendation systems
- RAG
- AI evaluation
- AI cost optimisation

? Transition Intelligence Engine (TIE)

Niermaan’s proprietary intelligence layer analyses user behaviour and transition signals to understand how prepared an individual is for their journey abroad.

You will help evolve TIE into a sophisticated intelligence system capable of:

Understanding → Predicting → Identifying Risk → Recommending → Personalising → Improving Outcomes

Your First Mission

One of your first major responsibilities will be helping Niermaan transition from its current development environment into a technology architecture fully controlled and owned by Niermaan.

You will assess and lead improvements across:

Source Code → GitHub → Cloud → Database → Infrastructure → Payments → APIs → AI → Security → Deployment The goal is simple:

Niermaan must own and control its technology, IP and infrastructure.

Essential

- 8+ years of professional technology/software experience
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience
- Proven experience building and launching production software
- Strong SaaS/product experience
- Strong software architecture knowledge
- Cloud experience — AWS, GCP or Azure
- Strong backend and database understanding
- DevOps and CI/CD experience
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Experience with AI/ML and modern LLM technologies
- Experience hiring and leading engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commercial and product thinking

- Establish Niermaan’s 12-month technology roadmap
- Define the AI roadmap
- Define the TIE roadmap
- Define the cybersecurity roadmap
- Build the engineering hiring plan
- Establish engineering KPIs
- Begin building the core technology team
