About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership across a rapidly growing specialty chemicals organization.

The COO will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence, operational scalability, profitable growth, process innovation, supply-chain resilience, EHS, quality, technology commercialization, projects and organizational capability building across multiple manufacturing locations and business support functions.

The role will be central to translating the organization's growth strategy into operational execution, while ensuring secure, compliant, cost-effective, customer-focused and globally competitive operations .

Organization Context The organization is a publicly listed specialty chemicals company with multiple manufacturing facilities, an R&D; centre, international subsidiaries and a greenfield manufacturing project under development.

The organization serves domestic and international customers across 35+ countries .

Candidate Profile

Education

Mandatory

- B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, or
- M.Sc. Chemistry, or
- Equivalent technical qualification.

Preferred

- IIT / ICT / NIT / other premier institutions.
- MBA in Operations, Strategy or Finance would be an advantage.

Experience

- 20+ years of progressive experience in Specialty Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Advanced Materials or Chemical Manufacturing.
- At least 5 years at COO / President Operations / Chief Manufacturing Officer / Cluster Manufacturing Head level.
- Experience reporting directly to a Promoter, CEO, MD or Board .
- Proven leadership of:
- Multi-site manufacturing operations
- 1,200+ employees
- ₹500 Cr+ business scale
- Export-oriented operations.

Preferred Industry & Technical Exposure Experience in one or more of the following will be strongly preferred:

- Specialty Chemicals
- Green Chemistry
- Continuous Flow Chemistry
- Electrochemistry
- High-Purity Chemical Manufacturing
- New Plant Commissioning
- Global Customer Management
