Aptagrim is an AI product-engineering company building enterprise AI products and intelligent workflow systems, including BidPlan and PsyHire, while delivering selected technology engagements for enterprise clients.

We are looking for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to take ownership of the company’s day-to-day execution across client delivery, technology, product development, product marketing and people operations. The COO will translate the CEO’s strategic direction into coordinated execution, establish operating discipline and ensure that functional leaders deliver against agreed priorities.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead the company’s day-to-day operations and ensure effective execution across client delivery, product development, technology, marketing and people operations.
- Translate the company’s strategic direction into clear operating priorities, action plans, ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Establish a disciplined operating rhythm through business reviews, performance dashboards, functional planning and timely decision-making.
- Ensure client engagements are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality standards and commercial expectations.
- Maintain senior-level oversight of key client relationships, delivery risks, service quality and escalations.
- Oversee product-development execution, ensuring alignment between market requirements, product priorities, engineering capacity and release commitments.
- Strengthen cross-functional coordination and resolve dependencies that affect delivery, product progress or business performance.
- Drive resource and capacity planning across client engagements and internal product initiatives.
- Monitor project profitability, resource utilisation,



operating costs and overall delivery efficiency.
- Establish appropriate governance for project planning, product releases, quality assurance, risk management and production operations.
- Build scalable processes and operating systems that reduce dependency on individuals and improve organisational continuity.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment priorities, performance management, leadership development and employee accountability.
- Ensure marketing initiatives, product launches and sales-enablement activities are aligned with the company’s strategic and commercial priorities.
- Partner with the CEO on annual operating plans, budgets, organisational priorities and key business decisions.
- Provide clear and timely visibility into organisational performance, delivery status, financial indicators, operational risks and decisions requiring leadership attention.

Required Experience & Skills

- 10+ years of skilled experience, including at least five years in a senior business operations, delivery or organisational leadership position.
- Experience leading operations within an AI, SaaS, enterprise software, technology services or product-engineering company.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple business functions and align them around shared organisational priorities.




- Strong understanding of software-product development, engineering delivery, release management and technology operations.
- Proven experience in enterprise client engagement, delivery governance, expectation management and escalation resolution.
- Experience translating business strategy into operating plans, functional goals, performance measures and execution reviews.
- Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, project profitability, resource utilisation, cost control and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated success in building operating processes, governance systems and management dashboards that improve accountability and visibility.
- Strong people-leadership experience, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, leadership development and organisational design.
- Ability to evaluate business and technical priorities, ask the right questions and facilitate effective decisions without becoming involved in every operational detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a lean, founder-led and rapidly evolving organisation.
- Track record of reducing operational dependencies, developing capable second-line leaders and building scalable teams.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, transparency and customer orientation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, management or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification in business or management would be advantageous.
- Experience in a startup, growth-stage business or smaller technology organisation is strongly preferred.
