Business school teaches you case studies about companies from 2009. This role puts you one chair away from the founder of a BSE-listed D2C brand, while it's actually happening. Board meetings, quarterly results, Meta ad accounts burning lakhs a day, new product launches, SEBI filings, angry customers, courier partners losing 5,000 vials. All of it, live, no textbook.

It's a hands-on MBA in how a listed company functions, from this close. You just have to be useful while you learn.

What you'll actually do

- Own the founder's calendar, follow-ups and the "wait, did that happen?" list. Nothing slips
- Run point on cross-team projects: product launches, ad campaigns, office moves, board and AGM prep
- Run hiring: write the JD, screen CVs, take first-round calls, coordinate interviews, chase offer letters, make sure day one isn't a mess
- Team building: onboarding, check-ins, keeping people talking to each other, spotting the ones who are quietly checking out before they hand in notice
- Build trackers, decks and dashboards the founder actually opens
- Chase vendors, agencies, CAs, courier partners and anyone else running late. Three follow-ups minimum if it's a CA
- Sit in every strategy, hiring, marketing and finance conversation and turn talk into action items
- Handle the random. A customer escalation at 11am, a compliance deadline at 2, a last-minute shoot at 5
- Become the person who knows where everything is and who's doing what

What you'll walk away knowing

- How a listed company runs from the inside: board meetings, disclosures, investor calls, auditors, the whole circus
- How a D2C brand makes money and where it loses it. Real unit economics, not a Twitter thread

- How performance marketing actually works when it's your money on the line
- How to hire, who to hire, and why the wrong hire costs more than the salary
- How to get things done when nobody gives you a brief
- Enough to start your own thing in 3 to 5 years. Half the point of this role is that you eventually leave to do exactly that

Who this is for

- 0 to 3 years experience. Freshers with hustle beat 5-year veterans who need a process doc
- Fast on Sheets, Docs, Slides. Bonus for Shopify, Meta Ads Manager or Notion
- Writes clearly in English, speaks Hindi comfortably
- Good with people. Can read a room, can sense when someone's off, can have an awkward conversation without making it worse
- Follows up without being asked. Then follows up again
- Fine with ambiguity, half-briefs and priorities flipping before lunch
- Reachable on weekends when something's on fire. Not every weekend, but when it matters, your phone is on

Who this is not for

- Anyone who needs a fixed 9 to 6, a scope document or a manager who explains everything twice
- Anyone whose reflex is "that's not my job"
- Anyone who leaves the founder on read
- Anyone who wants to work from home. This one's in office, no negotiation

Perks

- Direct access to the founder every single day
- Real ownership. Your projects ship under your name, not buried in a team credit
- You'll be in rooms most people wait 10 years to enter
- A golden retriever named Barfi visits the office sometimes. She's better at her job than most of us
