In the market, scouting for suitable candidates for my client which is a non profit organization in Bangalore North. Brief outline of the job is as below:
The NPO serves as a single window interface for Innovation, industry engagement, technology development, commercialization, and entrepreneurship.
It connects academia with industries, Government agencies, strategic and defence sectors, startups, and investors to develop solutions, translate research, and create economic and societal impact.
Innovation
1. Industry– Approach for execution of R&D; and technology-development projects
with Academia. The Org identifies appropriate expertise and supports project formulation, contracting, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
1. Government & Strategic Projects: Government agencies, defence organizations, and other strategic institutions approach the Org with technology requirements. The Org connects them with relevant academia. and facilitates project development and execution.
2. Industry R&D; Centres: Facilitate establishment of industry R&D; and innovation centres at the Academy, and work with industries to define technology roadmaps and collaborative R&D; projects.
3. Government–Industry–Academia Programs: Proactively identify Government funding opportunities, match program requirements with industry partners and Academia capabilities, build consortia, and execute programs supported by agencies such as ANRF, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Mines, MeitY, DST, DBT, and others.
4. Mission-Mode & Moonshot Programs: Conceptualize and execute large multidisciplinary programs with Government, industries, Aceademic faculty,
and other research institutions to address strategic national and industrial challenges.
5. Centres of Excellence: Establish, manage, and strengthen Centres of Excellence in strategic and emerging technology domains for cooperative R&D;, pilot-scale demonstration, technology transfer, commercialization, and capacity building.
Entrepreneurship
1. Deep-Tech Startup Incubation: Identify and incubate promising deep-tech startups emerging from Academic research and the broader innovation ecosystem.
2. Startup Nurturing & Scale-up: Support startups in technology validation, product development, business strategy, industry partnerships, market access, fundraising, and scale-up.
3. Access to Academic Research Ecosystem: Facilitate startup access to faculty expertise, laboratories, specialized research infrastructure, technologies, intellectual property, and talent.
4. Fundraising & Mentoring: Connect startups with mentors, angel investors, venture capital funds, corporates, strategic investors, and Government funding programs to enable growth and commercialization.
5. Innovation & Startup Funds: Facilitate and manage innovation and entrepreneurship funds supported by Government, investors, corporates, and institutional partners, including mechanisms for grants, investment, acceleration, and technology commercialization.
Overall Mandate: The role holder will strengthen the interface between Academia, industry, Government, investors, and entrepreneurs and build pathways from research and technology development to demonstration, commercialization, startup creation, investment, scale-up, and national impact. Work from Office; Estimated compensation range : INR 65-75LPA
