Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and passionate Chemistry Teacher to teach Science with a specialization in Chemistry for Classes VI to X. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to make scientific concepts engaging and relevant. The teacher will be responsible for fostering curiosity, promoting experimental learning, and developing a strong conceptual understanding of Chemistry among students.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

- Teach Chemistry concepts and General Science topics relevant to Classes VIX as prescribed by the CBSE curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and concept-based lessons that connect scientific principles to real-life applications.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, projects, and enrichment activities that support student learning.
- Build strong foundations in chemical concepts, scientific reasoning, and analytical thinking.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and scientific investigation.
- Integrate foundational concepts useful for Science Olympiads, NTSE, and future competitive examinations.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions to support diverse learning needs.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus and curriculum objectives.

Laboratory & Practical Learning

- Plan, conduct, and supervise Chemistry and Science laboratory activities in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate experiments and practical applications to strengthen conceptual understanding.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe usage of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and resources.
- Encourage students to participate in laboratory investigations, scientific projects, and research-based activities.
- Promote experiential and hands-on learning through experiments, models, and demonstrations.

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design and administer assessments, unit tests, practical evaluations, projects, and examinations.
- Prepare competency-based and application-oriented question papers aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze assessment outcomes and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Provide timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in academic review meetings and result analysis discussions.

Classroom Management

- Create a positive, inclusive,



and disciplined classroom workplace.
- Encourage active participation, collaboration, and scientific discussions.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and responsible learning.
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Technology Integration

- Utilize Smart Boards, virtual labs, simulations, multimedia presentations, and educational software to enhance learning.
- Integrate digital tools into teaching, assessment, and student engagement activities.
- Support blended learning and technology-enabled classroom practices.
- Use digital platforms to monitor student progress and communicate academic updates.

Student Development

- Mentor students in developing scientific thinking, observation skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Prepare and guide students for Science Olympiads, quizzes, exhibitions, and academic competitions.
- Encourage participation in STEM activities, science fairs, innovation challenges, and project-based learning.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide individualized academic support when required.
- Inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in science and discovery.

Parent Communication

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student academic performance and development.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), counseling sessions, and academic discussions.
- Provide recommendations and support strategies to help students achieve their academic goals.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance records, assessment reports, laboratory records, and academic documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Support school events, examinations, co-curricular activities, and institutional initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources, study materials, question banks, and laboratory manuals.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred.
- Master's Degree in Chemistry will be preferred.

Experience





- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Experience teaching Science and Chemistry concepts to Classes VI–X.
- Experience in Olympiad coaching, STEM education, or competitive exam foundation programs will be an added advantage.

- Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts including Matter and Its Properties, Atomic Structure, Chemical Reactions, Acids, Bases and Salts, Metals and Non-Metals, Carbon Compounds, Periodic Classification, and Environmental Chemistry.
- Thorough understanding of CBSE Science curriculum and competency-based education practices.

Teaching Skills

- Ability to simplify complex chemical concepts through demonstrations and practical examples.
- Strong lesson planning, instructional delivery, and student engagement capabilities.
- Proficiency in activity-based, inquiry-based, and experiential learning methodologies.

Communication Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Smart Boards, virtual laboratories, and educational technology platforms.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction and assessment.
