Job Responsibilities

- Perform testing and analysis of coal samples at the client plant laboratory.

- Conduct analysis of coal, ash, moisture, sulphur, phosphorus, GCV, and other related parameters as per applicable standards.

- Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and instruments.

- Prepare and maintain NABL-related documentation, records, and quality documents.

- Ensure timely calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

- Maintain laboratory test records, worksheets, and quality system documentation.

- Support internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and corrective actions.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laboratory quality and testing requirements.

- Report testing results and laboratory-related issues to the Site In-Charge.

- Support smooth day-to-day laboratory operations.

- Perform other laboratory-related activities as assigned.





Essential Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry.

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a coal testing laboratory.

Technical Knowledge

Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of:

- TGA (Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer)

- Bomb Calorimeter for GCV determination

- Sulphur Analyzer

- Phosphorus analysis equipment

- Total Moisture (TM) testing equipment

- Equilibrated Moisture testing equipment

- Positive knowledge of coal, ash, moisture, sulphur, phosphorus, and GCV analysis methods.

- Knowledge of relevant laboratory quality standards and NABL requirements.

- Willingness to work at the client site in Dhanbad.
