Role Description This is a full-time Charity Fundraiser role with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home alongside on site responsibilities.
The Charity
Fundraiser will plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community organizations, and maintain accurate records of donations and donor interactions. Daily tasks include researching funding opportunities, preparing compelling proposals and presentations, coordinating outreach activities, and managing social media and communication channels to increase awareness of Ashok Trust’s mission.
The role also involves collaborating with program and finance teams to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities, monitoring campaign performance, and providing regular reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development, with the ability to plan and manage campaigns and events.
- Basic proficiency in marketing or outreach activities, including social media, email campaigns, and community engagement.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects, maintain donor records, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills to research funding opportunities, interpret data, and prepare transparent reports and proposals.
- Commitment to inclusion, respect, and non-discriminatory practices, ideally with sensitivity to mental and developmental disabilities.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively in both remote and on-site settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as social work, communications, business, or nonprofit management) or equivalent experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Prior experience in a charity or social services environment is an asset; knowledge of social finance or disability support services is beneficial.
