Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Engineer specializing in Engine and Powertrain systems. In this role, you will lead the digital design, thermal management, and aerodynamic/fluid optimization of advanced powertrain components. You will apply high-fidelity 3D numerical simulations to drive performance, reduce emissions, improve cooling efficiency, and accelerate product development cycles.

Key Responsibilities

- Simulation & Analysis: Set up, execute, and analyze 3D CFD simulations for engine and powertrain components (e.g., in-cylinder spray/combustion, intake/exhaust manifolds, cooling jackets, turbochargers, and CHT systems).
- Thermal Management: Perform transient and steady-state Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) analyses to evaluate peak thermal loads, cooling effectiveness, and boiling risks on engine blocks and cylinder heads.
- Optimization & Design Guidance: Translate CFD findings into actionable design recommendations; collaborate directly with CAD design teams to iterate and refine powertrain geometries.
- Methodology Development: Develop and standardize CFD workflows, automated meshing techniques (such as AMR),



turbulence modeling strategies, and 1D-3D co-simulation pipelines.
- Testing & Validation: Correlate simulation results with physical test cell data (dynamometer tests, flow benches, thermal imaging) to continuously calibrate model accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with thermal, structural (FEA), systems engineering, and emissions teams to resolve trade-offs between thermal limits, fluid drag, and structural integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements Qualification CategoryRequirementsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or related discipline.

Experience 3–7+ years of dedicated CFD experience in automotive, heavy-duty, or aerospace powertrain systems.

Software Proficiency Experience with CONVERGE CFD, ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM. Proficiency in 1D tools like GT-SUITE is a plus.CAD & Pre-Processing Hands-on experience with pre-processing and CAD tools such as ANSA, SpaceClaim, HyperMesh, or Catia V5/V6.Domain Knowledge Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, multiphase flow, and combustion dynamics.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
