Position: Centre Manager – DDU-GKY Project
Department: Project Operations / Skill Development

Reporting To: Project Head / State Project Manager / Regional Manager
Job Summary The Centre Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and smooth functioning of the DDU-GKY training centre. The role involves managing day-to-day centre operations, ensuring quality training delivery, coordinating with trainers and support staff, monitoring candidate attendance and progress, maintaining project records, and ensuring compliance with DDU-GKY guidelines and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Centre Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the training centre.
- Ensure proper functioning of classrooms, laboratories, computer systems, hostel and other facilities.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, safety and a professional learning environment.
- Ensure availability of training materials, equipment and other required resources.
2. Candidate Management
- Monitor candidate attendance, punctuality and discipline.
- Address candidate grievances and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Track candidate performance, assessment and course completion.
- Coordinate with mobilization teams to maintain adequate candidate strength.
3. Training & Academic Coordination
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure training is conducted as per the approved curriculum and schedule.
- Monitor daily training activities and trainer performance.
- Ensure candidates receive appropriate practical and soft-skills training.
- Conduct regular reviews of training quality and candidate progress.
4. Documentation & MIS
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of centre records and registers.
- Monitor attendance, batch details, assessments, training records and candidate documentation.
- Coordinate with the MIS team for timely data entry and reporting.
- Ensure project-related documents are properly maintained and readily available for verification or inspection.
5. Placement & Post-Placement Support
- Coordinate with the Placement/PIA team for candidate placement activities.
- Support the organization of interviews, job fairs and employer interactions.
- Monitor placement and joining status of candidates.
- Support post-placement tracking and retention activities as required under the project.
6. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with DDU-GKY guidelines, project SOPs and organizational policies.
- Prepare the centre for inspections, audits and monitoring visits.
- Identify operational gaps and take corrective action.
- Maintain required standards related to infrastructure, training delivery, documentation and candidate services.
7. Team Management
- Supervise trainers, mobilizers, counsellors, MIS staff, support staff and other centre personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor staff performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and review centre targets.
- Promote teamwork and professional conduct among staff.
8. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Project Head, State/Regional teams and other stakeholders.
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly centre reports as required.
- Escalate operational issues and project-related challenges to management.
- Participate in review meetings and implement management instructions.

Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline; preference may be given to candidates with qualifications in Management, Social Work, Education, Rural Development or related fields.
- Additional certification in Skill Development/Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in skill development, vocational training, DDU-GKY, PMKVY or similar government-funded skill development projects.
- Experience in managing a training centre or team will be preferred.
- Knowledge of MIS, documentation, placement and government project compliance is desirable.

Salary: As per company policy and candidate's experience

Pay: ₹20,964.00 - ₹30,165.54 per month
