Role Description This full-time, in office Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia role is based in a Bahrain hospital. The position involves providing anaesthesia care for cardiothoracic surgeries, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative pain control. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating patients’ medical histories, planning anaesthesia techniques, monitoring vital signs during surgery, and responding promptly to any intra-operative complications.

The role also includes participation in multidisciplinary case discussions, documentation of clinical care, collaboration with surgeons and ICU teams, and adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Total Salary - 1701 BD for Single Doctors

1826 BD for Married Doctors

Qualifications

- Advanced training in anaesthesia with specific experience in cardiothoracic or cardiac anaesthesia, including management of complex surgical cases.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, perioperative care, haemodynamic monitoring,



and post-operative pain management.
- Proficiency in using anaesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, airway devices, and related clinical technologies.
- Sound knowledge of current guidelines, evidence-based practices, and protocols in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and intensive care teams.
- Ability to remain calm, make timely clinical decisions, and prioritize patient safety in high-pressure situations.
- Recognized medical degree and relevant anaesthesia specialization, with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Prior experience in a high-volume cardiothoracic or cardiac surgery center is highly desirable; teaching or mentoring experience is an advantage.
