CAD, 3D VISUALISATION & STRUCTURE DESIGNER

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented CAD, 3D Visualisation & Structure Designer to create detailed drawings and 3D visualisations for luxury weddings and events. The role will work closely with the décor design and production teams to convert creative concepts into technically accurate, practical and execution-ready drawings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop detailed 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts and fabrication drawings for wedding décor and event setups.
- Create structure drawings for stages, mandaps, pavilions, ceilings, backdrops, arches, entrances, installations and temporary structures.
- Develop 3D models and visualisations to communicate design concepts, proportions, materials and spatial layouts.
- Translate mood boards and creative concepts into technically feasible and execution-ready drawings.
- Prepare drawings with dimensions, levels, materials, specifications, structural details and fabrication requirements.
- Coordinate with the Wedding Decor Designer and Production & Operations team to ensure designs are practical and executable.
- Modify drawings based on site conditions, measurements, client requirements and production feedback.
- Conduct site visits when required to take measurements and understand venue conditions and limitations.
- Prepare drawings for fabricators, carpenters, metal workers, electricians, florists and other vendors.
- Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, properly scaled and easy for execution teams to understand.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain organised project files and drawing libraries.
- Assist the production team during execution by clarifying drawings and resolving technical queries.
- Develop BOQ-support drawings and material specifications wherever required.




- Ensure structure and fabrication concepts consider stability, safety, access, installation, dismantling and venue limitations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drafting.
- Robust knowledge of SketchUp or equivalent 3D modelling software.
- Knowledge of 3ds Max, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, Rhino, Revit or similar software will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, scale, elevations, sections, spatial planning and construction/fabrication detailing.
- Ability to understand structural concepts and convert them into practical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret creative designs and convert them into execution-ready technical drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for site measurements and destination weddings when required.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE

- Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Structural Design or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in event production, exhibition design, interior design, architecture, fabrication or temporary structures.
- Experience in weddings, events, exhibitions, hospitality or large-scale installations will be an advantage.
- Strong portfolio showcasing 2D technical drawings, 3D models, elevations, sections and structure/fabrication drawings.
- Technically sound, detail-oriented, practical and comfortable working closely with an execution team.
