About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Manager - Finance (Business Controller) to partner with business functions and drive financial performance. The role will be responsible for customer P&L; management, financial planning & analysis, business partnering, management reporting, timesheet governance, and audit support while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:

- Partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Program Management teams.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
- Support contract reviews from commercial (pricing) and financial perspectives.

Customer Finance Management:

- Own the customer P&L;, including Revenue, Gross Margin, Contribution Margin, EBITDA, and Working Capital.
- Ensure timely customer billing, revenue recognition, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Review customer change requests (ECO/ECN), engineering changes, and commercial impacts to ensure cost recovery.
- Prepare customer-wise financial dashboards and present performance reviews to Business Heads and Senior Leadership.
- Drive monthly customer business reviews with Sales, Program Management, Operations, and Procurement teams to improve financial performance.
- Monitor customer credit exposure, overdue receivables, and collection plans to optimize working capital.

Timesheet Management:

- Govern the end-to-end Design & Development (D&D;) timesheet process, ensuring timely and accurate submission and approval.




- Validate timesheet hours against project plans, customer contracts, and approved resource allocations.
- Ensure accurate allocation of employee hours to billable, non-billable, internal R&D;, customer-funded development, and support activities.
- Monitor employee utilization, billable utilization, and project-wise effort against approved budgets.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;):

- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial projections.
- Perform variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year performance.
- Post adjustments and provisions based on findings from P&L; variance analysis.

Management Reporting:

- Manage MIS reporting, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and governance controls.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and cash flow statements for CFO and auditor review and sign-off.

Audit & Compliance:

- Act as the finance SPOC for Internal, Statutory, Cost, Tax, and Customer audits related to the assigned business unit or customers.
- Ensure availability, accuracy, and timely submission of financial records, schedules,



and supporting documents required for audits.
- Monitor revenue recognition, inventory valuation, cost allocation, capitalization, and provisioning to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications: Education - Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)

Professional Certifications:

- Relevant finance/accounting certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Business Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis, or related functions.
- Experience in the IT Industry preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Hands-on experience with SAP or any ERP system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Robust understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and business controlling.
