Business Development Manager Employer Engagement & Placements A US-based global nonprofit organisation, is hiring Business Development Managers for a multi-city skilling and placement programme.

Locations: Pune and New Delhi

Experience: 3–6 years

Employment Type: Contractual, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project requirements

Role Overview The role focuses on building relationships with GCCs, IT companies, corporate HR teams and business leaders to generate employment and apprenticeship opportunities for programme learners.

This is a field-based and target-driven role. The selected candidate will be responsible for generating employer demand and managing the complete placement process—from identifying job opportunities to interviews, offers and successful joining.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, approach and onboard GCC and IT employers.
- Build robust relationships with corporate HR teams and business leaders.
- Generate job, internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Understand employers’ hiring requirements, including roles, salaries, locations and volumes.
- Coordinate placement drives, interviews and employer engagement sessions.
- Manage the complete hiring cycle, including profile sharing, interview scheduling, feedback, offers and joining.
- Work closely with ITIs, colleges, placement cells, City Coordinators and training partners.




- Maintain a healthy pipeline of employers and job opportunities.
- Update employer and placement information in CRM and MIS systems.
- Track and report opportunities, interviews, offers and successful placements.
- Collect offer letters, joining documents and other required records.
- Share market insights regarding in-demand skills, salary benchmarks and hiring trends.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, employer engagement, corporate sales, campus placements, talent acquisition or recruitment.
- Strong employer relationships within GCC and IT organisations are highly preferred.
- Experience in the skilling, CSR, staffing, education or training sector would be an advantage.
- Comfortable with outbound calls, emails, meetings and field visits.
- Strong corporate relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and CRM/MIS reporting.
- Ability to independently manage targets, employers and placement activities.
- Fluency in the local language with working proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel within and occasionally outside the assigned city.

Preferred Candidate Candidates with an existing network of HR professionals and business leaders across GCCs and IT companies in Pune or New Delhi will be preferred.
