About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to generate new business opportunities for our industrial automation solutions. The role is primarily field-oriented, with a strong focus on industrial/site visits, lead generation, customer meetings, and sales conversion.

Key Responsibilities

* Generate new leads through regular industrial and site visits across Chennai and nearby industrial areas.

- Identify potential customers and understand their automation, electrical, and engineering requirements.
- Meet with maintenance, electrical, automation, production, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Develop current customer relationships and expand the existing customer base.
- Generate enquiries through field visits, cold calling, LinkedIn, email, references, and networking.
- Promote PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, control panels, MCC panels, retrofit, commissioning, and automation services.
- Coordinate with the technical team to develop suitable solutions and quotations.




- Follow up on enquiries and quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
- Maintain a proper sales pipeline and report customer visits, leads, enquiries, and opportunities.
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.

Requirements

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, E&I;, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.

- 1–3 years of experience in industrial sales, automation, electrical products, or technical business development.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation products and systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong field-sales and customer relationship skills.
- Willingness to travel for regular industrial visits.
- Target-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Valid driving licence preferred.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
