Role Description The Business Development Associate will support growth initiatives by identifying prospective clients, nurturing leads, and promoting The Open Room’s architectural and edtech offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, preparing outreach lists, coordinating meetings, and maintaining client relationship records.

The role involves creating and delivering clear presentations to potential partners, assisting in proposal development,



and collaborating with the architecture and education teams to align solutions with client needs. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, requiring close coordination with internal stakeholders and active participation in studio activities.

Qualifications

- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly in spoken and written formats.
- Effective presentation skills and experience creating and delivering impactful presentations to diverse audiences.
- Lead generation abilities, including identifying prospects, qualifying leads, and maintaining organized follow-up processes.
- Market research skills to analyze trends, understand client segments, and inform business development strategies.
- Interest in or exposure to architecture, design, or edtech sectors is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive professional relationships.
- Comfort with basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or contact management systems).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
