We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of an online proprietary trading business with limited transactions, cryptocurrency-related activities, and limited inventory.
The ideal candidate will have solid bookkeeping/accounting experience, with some exposure to cryptocurrency, inventory, Chart of Accounts, and accounting system setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Chart of Accounts (COA).
- Help determine and set up the accounting systems and processes required to run the business.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end activities.
- Handle accounting for cryptocurrency payments and transactions.
- Maintain accurate records for limited inventory.
- Support financial reporting and ensure accurate accounting records.
- Establish efficient accounting processes and controls.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Experience working as a Bookkeeper, Controller, or similar accounting role.
- Some hands-on experience with cryptocurrency / digital asset transactions.
- Experience with Chart of Accounts setup and accounting processes.
- Experience with accounting systems and process setup.
- Understanding of inventory accounting.
- Strong QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage accounting operations end-to-end.
Preferred: Experience in a prop trading, fintech, crypto, or online business environment. CPA/CA is a plus.
