Position: Boiler Operator

Experience: 2-5 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma preferred

Certification: Valid Boiler Operator Certificate / Boiler Attendant Certificate as applicable

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
- Maintain required steam pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel consumption.
- Conduct routine inspection of boiler equipment and identify abnormalities.
- Monitor boiler feed water, chemical dosing, blowdown, and water treatment parameters.
- Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures as per SOP.
- Maintain daily boiler operation and parameter logs.
- Check fuel, water, steam pressure, and other operating parameters regularly.
- Carry out routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and equipment issues.




- Ensure compliance with statutory boiler regulations and site safety procedures.
- Follow all PPE, fire safety, emergency response, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Report leaks, pressure variations, abnormal sounds, or other unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain housekeeping around the boiler room and utility area.
- Support periodic boiler inspection, testing, and statutory certification activities.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of boiler operation and steam generation systems.
- Knowledge of boiler safety and emergency procedures.
- Ability to read and maintain operating parameters and log sheets.
- Basic understanding of pumps, valves, burners, water treatment, and steam systems.
- Positive troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency situations responsibly.
