Role & responsibilities

Medical Equipment Management

- Manage, maintain, and monitor all biomedical/medical equipment in the hospital.

- Maintain an updated inventory of medical equipment and accessories.

Preventive &

- Corrective Maintenance

- Plan and conduct preventive maintenance (PM) as per schedules.

- Attend equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance.

Equipment Installation &

- Commissioning

- Coordinate installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of new medical equipment.

- Verify equipment performance before handing it over to the concerned department.

Calibration &

- Safety

- Ensure timely calibration of critical medical equipment.

- Check electrical, functional, and operational safety of equipment.

- Maintain calibration and safety records.

Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with OEMs and authorized service providers for AMC/CMC, repairs, and technical support.

- Monitor vendor service quality and response time.

Documentation &

- Records

- Maintain equipment history cards, service reports,



PM records, breakdown reports, and calibration certificates.

- Track AMC/CMC expiry dates and warranty status.

Department Support

- Work closely with ICU, OT, Emergency, Radiology, Laboratory, Dialysis, CSSD, and other clinical departments.

- Provide technical assistance whenever required.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering preferred.

- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, preferably in a hospital/medical college.

- Solid knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment safety.

- Experience in AMC/CMC management and vendor coordination.

- Candidates with experience handling ICU, OT, Emergency, Radiology, Dialysis, Laboratory, and other critical-care equipment will be preferred.
