The Role:

As a CAD to BIM Engineer at Inkers, you will be responsible for converting laser scan data into exact Building Information Models. Your expertise in handling point cloud data and creating accurate BIM models will be crucial for our client's construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

● Convert MEP CAD drawings into accurate and coordinated BIM models using Autodesk Revit.

● Model HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems based on design drawings and specifications.

● Review MEP models for accuracy, completeness, connectivity, and coordination.

● Identify and resolve MEP design discrepancies and coordination issues.

● Prepare detailed MEP drawings, schedules, and as-built BIM documentation.

● Coordinate with engineers and project teams to clarify design requirements and resolve modelling issues.

● Perform MEP BIM QA/QC checks to ensure compliance with project standards and requirements.

● Optimise CAD-to-BIM workflows to improve modelling efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.

● Maintain project documentation, modelling standards, and delivery schedules.





Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

● Minimum 1–4 years of hands-on experience in CAD-to-BIM conversion and BIM modeling

● Proven experience in converting 2D CAD drawings into accurate and coordinated BIM models

.

● Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD

, with strong knowledge of CAD-to-BIM workflows.

● Good knowledge of Autodesk ReCap / ReCap Pro and basic understanding of point cloud processing and registration

.

● Experience working with point cloud data in Revit for CAD-to-BIM and existing-condition modeling.

● Strong understanding of MEP systems, layouts, equipment, and construction documentation

.

● Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP CAD drawings and accurately translate them into Revit models.

● Understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements, model organization, naming conventions, and project standards

.

● Experience creating and working with Revit families, parameters, views, schedules, and documentation

.

● Understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection, and model federation

.

● Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies between CAD drawings, point clouds, and BIM models

.

● Knowledge of BIM QA/QC procedures and model-checking workflows.

● Ability to handle large and complex CAD, Revit, and point cloud datasets while maintaining model accuracy and performance.

● Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality BIM models within project timelines

.

● Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within a BIM/MEP production team
