About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer with deep Zuora expertise to own quality across our billing, subscription, and revenue workflows. This role suits someone who thrives with autonomy comfortable owning test strategy end-to-end, making sound judgment calls without heavy oversight, and adapting to shifting priorities across time zones or sprint cycles.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for Zuora-based billing, subscription, invoicing, and revenue recognition workflows
- Validate integrations between Zuora and Salesforce Sales Cloud/CPQ, payment gateways, and downstream financial systems
- Test complex subscription lifecycle scenarios: amendments, renewals, upgrades/downgrades, proration, usage-based billing, and cancellations
- Perform end-to-end regression testing across Zuora Billing, Zuora CPQ, and Zuora Revenue modules
- Validate the full quote-to-cash flow: opportunity CPQ quote order billing revenue, ensuring data integrity at each handoff
- Validate data integrity across order-to-cash flows, including tax calculations, credit memos, and payment runs
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, working closely with developers and BSAs to resolution
- Independently prioritize testing efforts based on release scope, risk, and business impact with minimal day-to-day supervision




- Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams (developers, product owners, release managers) across time zones
- Contribute to test plan documentation, UAT support, and sign-off criteria for releases
- Flag process or configuration gaps proactively (e.g., stale field mappings, workflow rule conflicts) rather than waiting for direction

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of manual QA experience, with 3+ years specifically testing Zuora (Billing, CPQ, and/or Revenue)
- Strong understanding of subscription billing concepts: rate plans, charges, proration, invoicing schedules, usage-based pricing
- Hands-on CPQ knowledge testing quote configuration, pricing rules, product bundles, approval workflows, and quote-to-order conversion
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud — opportunities, accounts, contacts, and how these feed into the quote-to-cash cycle
- Experience testing Zuora integrations with Salesforce or other CRM/CPQ systems
- Solid grasp of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently — managing own test schedule, escalating only when truly blocked
- Comfortable with flexible/non-standard hours to support distributed or global teams
- Excellent written communication for async collaboration (test docs, defect reports, Slack/Jira updates)
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar)

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ceremonies and story point estimation for QA effort
- Exposure to Zuora Revenue (RevPro) and ASC 606 revenue recognition testing
- Basic scripting/automation exposure (even if role is primarily manual)
- Experience in SaaS or subscription-based industries
- Salesforce or Zuora certifications (e.g., Zuora Billing Certified, Salesforce Administrator)
