– BAR MANAGER

Department: Food & Beverage

Location: VGP Heritage

Reports To: Operations Manager / Management

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar and ensure smooth service.
- Supervise, train, and manage bartenders, bar captains, and other bar staff.
- Ensure excellent guest service and handle guest complaints professionally.
- Maintain proper control of liquor, beverages, mixers, and bar supplies.
- Monitor daily sales, consumption, wastage, and stock levels.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures and daily stock verification.
- Maintain accurate records of bar inventory and coordinate with the Accounts/Purchase team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable liquor licensing and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and safety standards within the bar.
- Control costs and minimize wastage, breakage, and unauthorized consumption.




- Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower during operations and events.
- Coordinate with the Restaurant, Kitchen, Purchase, and Accounts teams.
- Ensure responsible handling and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Report operational issues, shortages, damages, and irregularities to management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of bar operations and beverage service.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Valuable communication and guest-handling skills.
- Knowledge of liquor inventory and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage busy operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant bar management experience preferred.
