- Configure and manage backup solutions for regular data backups.
- Troubleshoot issues related to backup jobs and tape libraries.
- Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain documentation of backup procedures and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams on data protection initiatives.
- Monitor backup systems for performance and capacity.
- Implement security protocols for data backups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in backup engineering within data centers.
- Solid knowledge of backup tools (e.g., Networker).
- Experience with tape libraries and data deduplication.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
