About the Role

We are looking for an AI/Azure Backend Developer to contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of AI-powered solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills, hands-on experience with Azure services, and an understanding of AI/ML application architecture.

The candidate will be involved across the complete development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, deployment, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on backend services and cloud-based components.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered backend solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
- Develop scalable and reliable backend services and APIs using Python.
- Integrate Azure services and third-party SDKs into AI applications.
- Work with Azure data management and storage services for efficient data processing and management.
- Implement Azure messaging and event-driven architectures.
- Work with vector databases for AI/GenAI applications, including data ingestion, embedding storage, indexing, and similarity search.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Azure container services.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize Azure-based solutions.
- Implement appropriate security, authentication, authorization, and access controls for cloud applications.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers,



software developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Follow best practices for scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.

Positive to Have
- Experience with Azure OpenAI Service or other Azure AI services.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
- Experience with vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or Milvus.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of cloud security and identity services such as Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
