Crossing Infotech is offering a full-time remote internship opportunity for an aspiring Backend Developer to gain practical exposure to server-side development, APIs, databases, programming, debugging, and web application development.

The role focuses on assisting with backend development tasks and gaining hands-on experience in building application logic, working with databases, developing APIs, and supporting web applications.

Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and services.
- Write clean and maintainable server-side code under appropriate guidance.
- Assist with developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Work with relational databases and perform basic SQL operations.
- Assist with implementing application logic and backend functionality.
- Support integration between frontend applications and backend services.
- Debug and troubleshoot basic backend and API-related issues.
- Perform basic testing of APIs and backend functionality.
- Assist with data validation and error handling.
- Work with developers to understand technical requirements.
- Use Git or other version-control tools for assigned development work.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain basic technical documentation for assigned tasks.
- Assist with improving existing backend functionality.
- Complete assigned development tasks within agreed timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Node.js, Express.js, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON is an advantage.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or another database system is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub is an advantage.
- Academic or personal backend development projects are welcome.

Stipend: ₹16,500 per month
