Karur

- Automation System Management

- Supervise all automation equipment and systems used in production.

Breakdown &

- Troubleshooting

- Attend automation-related breakdowns promptly.

- Troubleshoot PLC, sensors, pneumatic, electrical and control-system issues.

- Identify root causes of recurring automation failures.

- Minimize machine downtime and production interruption.

- Coordinate with external service engineers/OEMs when specialized support is required.

- Maintain breakdown history and corrective-action records.

Preventive &

- Predictive Maintenance

- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

- Ensure regular inspection of sensors, actuators, PLC panels, motors, drives and pneumatic systems.

- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures.

- Ensure timely replacement of worn or damaged components.

- Review preventive maintenance completion and pending activities.

Production Support

- Coordinate with Production, IE and PPC to ensure automation availability.

- Support production during line start-up and changeover.

- Monitor automated equipment performance against production requirements.

- Identify automation-related bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

- Support improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce manpower dependency.

Automation &

- Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation in production processes.

- Study existing processes and recommend suitable automation solutions.

- Support implementation of poka-yoke and error-proofing systems.

- Improve machine cycle time, productivity and consistency.

- Participate in automation improvement and cost-reduction projects.

Quality Control

- Ensure automation systems operate consistently within approved parameters.

- Investigate quality issues caused by machine/automation settings.

- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams for corrective action.

- Ensure sensors and control systems are functioning correctly to prevent defects.

1. Team Supervision

- Allocate daily work to automation technicians/mechanics.





- Monitor maintenance activities and work completion.

- Train technicians on machine operation and troubleshooting.

- Ensure technicians follow approved maintenance procedures.

- Review pending breakdowns and maintenance activities.

- Maintain discipline and housekeeping within the automation/maintenance area.

1. Spare Parts &
- Inventory

- Identify critical automation spare parts.

- Maintain minimum stock levels for critical components.

- Coordinate with Stores/Purchase for spare requirements.

- Control consumption of automation spares.

- Maintain records of replaced components.

- Develop a critical-spares list for major machines.

1. Safety Responsibilities

- Ensure automation equipment is operated safely.

- Ensure machine guards and interlocks are functional.

- Follow LOTO procedures during maintenance.

- Ensure proper electrical and pneumatic isolation before repair.

- Prevent unauthorized modification of PLC/control systems.

- Ensure technicians use required PPE.

- Report unsafe conditions immediately.

1. Daily Activities

- Review previous-day automation breakdowns and downtime.

- Check critical machines and automation systems.

- Attend breakdowns and coordinate troubleshooting.

- Monitor production-line automation performance.

- Verify preventive maintenance activities.

- Check sensors, PLCs, drives, pneumatic systems and control panels.

- Follow up on pending repairs and spare requirements.

- Coordinate with Production and Sewing Supervisors.

- Update automation breakdown and maintenance records.

- Review automation-related production losses.

- Identify recurring problems and initiate corrective action.

- Submit daily automation status to the Maintenance/Engineering Manager.

- Ensure automated machines operate according to approved specifications.

- Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities.

- Coordinate installation, commissioning and trial runs of current automation equipment.

- Ensure proper machine settings and operating parameters.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
