- Administrative Reporting: Managing Director (MD) / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

3. Job PurposeThe Internal Audit Manager will serve as the independent evaluator of the NBFC’s operational ecosystem. This professional will design, implement, and lead a risk-based internal audit program covering ₹25 Crores of monthly disbursements and collections. The primary purpose is to safeguard corporate assets, enforce absolute compliance with financial regulations, identify revenue leakages, and foster an environment of continuous operational improvement.4. Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & ResponsibilitiesArea A: Deep Process Mapping & Departmental Audits (40% Weightage)
- Credit Appraisal & Onboarding Audits: Map, understand, and audit the end-to-end credit assessment cycle. Verify borrower profile authenticity, credit bureau (CIBIL) evaluation accuracy, income-to-obligation ratios, and underwriter deviations.
- Disbursement & Operations Control: Audit loan documentation, KYC compliance at the ground level, collateral valuation validity, and final fund release protocols to ensure zero post-disbursement errors.
- Collection, Recovery, & NPA Management: Track and audit collection buckets (Bucket 0 to NPA). Validate cash handling procedures by field agents, receipt management, repossession compliance, and settlement protocols.
- Support Function Inspections: Review and assess internal workflows of auxiliary departments including Treasury (liquidity ratios, fund management), Human Resources (payroll, incentive calculation accuracy),



and Procurement/Admin (vendor payouts).

Area B: Regulatory Compliance & Financial Integrity (30% Weightage)
- RBI Compliance Enforcement: Continuous oversight of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Master Directions for NBFCs. Ensure total alignment with Scale Based Regulations (SBR), Fair Practices Code (FPC), Capital Adequacy Ratios (CRAR), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML/KYC) standards.
- Financial Reporting & Ind AS Alignment: Review financial transactions, ledger balancing, and accounting treatments against Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Focus on Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisioning and revenue recognition models.
- Statutory Frameworks: Audit statutory compliance relating to the Income Tax Act (TDS/TCS calculations), GST filings for financial services, and relevant corporate/labour laws.

Area C: Information Technology & System Audits (20% Weightage)
- Core Lending Solution (CLS) Audit: Evaluate user access controls, Maker-Checker overrides, transaction logs, and data processing rules within the central loan management system.
- Digital Footprint & Transaction Security: Audit digital transaction pipelines (e.g., NACH bounces, UPI reconciliation, direct bank transfers) to eliminate technical or operational reconciliation leaks.
- Data Security & Business Continuity: Review data backup schedules, vulnerability patch logs, customer data encryption protocols, and Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness.

Area D: Collaboration, Reporting, & Board Governance (10% Weightage)
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with departmental heads and branch staff to educate them on risk mitigation. Foster a collaborative environment rather than a policing culture.
- Audit Committee Reporting: Draft highly structured, objective internal audit reports containing root-cause analysis, impact metrics, and rectification timelines for submission to the Board/Audit Committee.
- CAPA Tracking: Actively track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) implemented by departments based on previous audit findings.

5. Technical Competencies & CredentialsAcademic & Professional Prerequisites




- Primary Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) registered with the ICAI.
- Alternative/Additional Qualification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) / Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) / MBA in Finance from an institute of repute will hold a distinct advantage.

Career Experience Channels
- Experienced Pathway: 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in heading or executing internal audits within a commercial bank, retail NBFC, Microfinance Institution (MFI), or FinTech company.
- Fresher Pathway: Newly qualified Chartered Accountant with an exemplary academic record. Mandatory condition: Must have completed 3 years of articleship/training from a Top CA Firm in India (Big 4 or Tier-1 mid-size networks). They must also be open to undergoing an internal corporate training program.

Specialized Tech Stack Requirements
- Advanced analytical capability using Microsoft Excel, SQL, or specialized Audit Management Tools (e.g., TeamMate, ACL).
- Prior working familiarity with Core Lending Systems (such as FinnOne, Finacle, or custom cloud-based LMS applications).

7. Compensation, Benefits & Relocation Perks
- Fixed CTC: Competitive industry standard (benchmarked as per experience level and market trends for Tier-3 hubs).
