Key ResponsibilitiesA.
Audiology
Services
- Conduct detailed audiological assessments for patients with hearing and balance-related complaints.
- Perform Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA), Speech Audiometry, Impedance/Immittance Audiometry, and other relevant hearing assessments.
- Conduct specialized investigations such as OAE, BERA/ABR, and other electrophysiological hearing tests, wherever applicable.
- Assess hearing impairment in children and adults and recommend appropriate intervention.
- Provide hearing aid evaluation, counselling, fitting, verification, and follow-up support.
- Educate patients and family members regarding hearing loss, hearing rehabilitation, and communication strategies.
- Identify patients requiring referral to ENT specialists, neurologists, or other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of audiological assessments, findings, and treatment recommendations.
B. Speech and Language Therapy Services
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide individualised speech and language therapy programmes based on the patient's condition and rehabilitation goals.
- Manage patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, dementia, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.
- Assess and manage aphasia,
dysarthria, apraxia of speech, cognitive-communication disorders, and other communication difficulties.
- Assess and provide therapy for children with delayed speech and language development, articulation disorders, stammering, and other communication disorders.
- Assess patients with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and provide appropriate swallowing rehabilitation and management strategies.
- Provide counselling and training to patients and caregivers regarding home-based therapy and communication techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and modify therapy plans as required.
C.
Multidisciplinary
Rehabilitation
- Work collaboratively with neurologists, ENT specialists, rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient assessments and treatment planning.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive rehabilitation programmes.
- Attend clinical meetings, case discussions, and departmental meetings as required.
- Provide guidance and education to caregivers and family members regarding rehabilitation and follow-up care.
Pay: ₹19,592.88 - ₹21,501.86 per month
