Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Product Owner / Scrum Master cum Business Analyst who can act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, Agile process understanding, and the ability to manage development workflows effectively.

The candidate will:

- Convert business requirements into clear, structured user stories.
- Coordinate closely with the onshore Business Analyst and Product Management team.
- Manage Agile boards and track development progress.
- Identify risks and proactively resolve issues.
- Conduct UAT-style validations before final delivery to the client.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, development progresses smoothly, and deliverables meet quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements & User Story Management

- Translate business requirements into well-defined: User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Functional Specifications.
- Clearly articulate requirements to the development team.
- Ensure stories are: Structured, Testable, Measurable, and Aligned with product vision.
- Clarify ambiguities and ensure the team fully understands the scope and expected outcomes.
- Continuously refine backlog items based on stakeholder feedback.

2. Collaboration with Onshore Business Analyst & Product Team

- Work closely with the Onshore Business Analyst to: Support product management activities and align technical implementation with business goals.
- Over time, gradually take ownership of selected Product Management responsibilities.
- Understand: Product features, Customer pain points, and Business objectives behind each requirement.




- Develop a strong understanding of why the customer required the product and how it solves business challenges.

3. Agile Process & Task Board Management

- Manage and maintain the task board using: Teamwork, JIRA, Or equivalent Agile project management tools.
- Ensure all stories are: Properly assigned, Estimated, and Tracked.
- Maintain visibility of sprint progress and backlog status.
- Track development progress daily and ensure transparency.

4. Status Tracking & Development Coordination

- Monitor development activities and ensure timelines are met.
- Coordinate closely with: Developers, QA team, and Product stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on: Task completion, Sprint health, Risks and blockers.
- Ensure alignment between development outputs and business expectations.

5. Risk & Issue Management

- Proactively identify: Risks, Issues, Delivery challenges, and Scope creep.
- Attempt to resolve issues independently before escalating.
- Escalate to the core team only when necessary with: Clear documentation and Proposed mitigation plans.
- Ensure minimal impact on sprint velocity and delivery commitments.

6. Agile Ceremony Leadership

- Facilitate and run: Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement Sessions, and Sprint Planning (as required).
- Capture clear and structured meeting notes.
- Ensure action items are assigned and tracked.
- Maintain discipline in Agile processes.

7. Product Knowledge & Business Understanding

- Develop deep understanding of: Product features, System workflows, Business use cases, and Customer requirements.
- Align technical tasks with business value.
- Ensure solutions are not just technically correct but business-relevant.

8. UAT-Style Testing & Delivery Validation

- Perform pre-release UAT-style validation before handing over
- Validate: Functional completeness, Acceptance criteria compliance, and End-to-end workflows.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality expectations before final submission.
- Coordinate final handover and support during client review.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

- 12+ years of experience in: Business Analysis,



Scrum Master / Agile coordination, and Product ownership support roles.
- Experience working with US clients (preferably healthcare domain) is a plus.
- Experience supporting Product Management functions.

Technical & Process Skills

- Strong understanding of: Agile methodology, Scrum framework, User Story writing, and Acceptance criteria creation.
- Hands-on experience with: JIRA / Teamwork / Trello / Azure DevOps.
- Experience in: Requirement gathering, Backlog management, and Sprint planning.
- Basic understanding of: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), QA processes, and UAT validation.

Analytical & Communication Skills

- Strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to simplify complex business requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with: Developers, Business stakeholders, Product managers, and Onshore teams.
