Roles & Responsibilities

- Drive end-to-end product development from ideation and formulation to commercialization and launch.
- Translate consumer insights, market trends and category opportunities into innovative beauty and personal care products.
- Partner with formulation experts and third-party manufacturers to develop, test and refine product samples.
- Lead product trials, testing, quality improvements and production readiness.
- Benchmark global and domestic beauty brands to identify innovation and differentiation opportunities.
- Identify and manage manufacturers, formulation partners and suppliers.
- Own development timelines, costing, sampling and production readiness.
- Drive packaging development, evaluating materials, aesthetics, functionality and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with packaging vendors through sampling, testing and finalization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and quality standards and maintain product specifications, documentation and certifications.
- Partner with Marketing, Design, Operations, Sourcing, Regulatory and Manufacturing teams for successful launches.
- Monitor post-launch product performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Optimize product costs without compromising quality, performance or consumer experience.

- Ideal Candidate

Mandatory

1. 4+ years of total product development experience, including 2+ years in Beauty / Personal Care / Skincare / Cosmetics.
2. End-to-end experience across product ideation, formulation, development, testing,



vendor coordination, commercialization and launch.
3. Hands-on experience working with formulation partners and third-party manufacturers to develop and refine products.
4. Experience leading product trials, testing cycles, quality enhancements, timelines, costing and production readiness.
5. Solid understanding of product lifecycle, formulations, manufacturing processes, ingredients, consumer insights and beauty/personal care trends.
6. Experience in packaging development, including materials, aesthetics, functionality, cost optimization and vendor management.
7. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration across sourcing, marketing, design, regulatory and manufacturing.
8. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple product launches simultaneously.
9. Must come from an established Beauty / Personal Care / Skincare / Cosmetics brand, beauty manufacturing unit, or relevant third-party manufacturing/vendor environment.
10. Experience ensuring regulatory, safety and quality compliance, including product documentation, specifications and certifications.

Preferred

- Senior / Team Lead-level product development experience.
- Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or related field.
- Category expertise across Skincare, Haircare or Personal Care.
- Strong understanding of ingredient trends, regulatory standards and product testing processes.
